Installed IR 1.3a on Win XP SP1 without issue. All servers started without issue. 

Entered the following command from the console prompt and received the error message shown:

>E:\InstantRails\rails_apps\shovell>ruby script/server
./script/../config/boot.rb:29: undefined method `gem' for main:Object (NoMethodE
rror)
        from script/server:2

Could someone please tell me what is happening to cause this and also what steps to take to correct it?

rod--ir uses apache and mongrel so ignore any tutorial references
to webrick. the fact the "all servers started" means
you have both a database (MySQL) and web (A+M) servers serving
you. if you want webrick then use the one-click installer paradigm
instead.

It's simple enough to use both by copying projects back-and-forth,
but for my time i develop in one-click and deploy in ir.

to get the "I" working correctly, follow the bouncing
ball on page one (rt*m, with humble apologies).
