I tried out hoe with a gem I'm working on, and it worked great.  The only beef I have with it is it adds a dependancy
on hoe for installing it, which doesn't seem necessary.

$ gem dependency foo
Gem foo-0.0.3
  hoe (> 0.0.0)

foo doesn't need hoe to run, just to build.
