how to add new book providers?

Detailed description
I propose to document how to add new book providers, so that each user can add his/her favorite ones, and can provide
a patch.

Dear Cathal,
You did help me very uch in the past, my thanks for that.
Yes I meant providers, because adding z39.50 providers requires
to much knowledge, while there are several very important providers
to add, which can help to add books in different languages, like
www.bol.com or www.isbn.nl, www.bookline.hu. To just mention
a few.
I know also it takes a lot of time to do the coding, however
lots of people do not have the knowledge or knowhow to get this
working easy.
And as it is just a feature suggestion, I thought it was a good
suggestion :D

I assume by "ISBN libraries" you mean "book
provider" or as I call it: "book metadata source",
like an online bookshop.

Could you describe what you mean by "a simple URL".
Having completely re-implemented several book metadata sources
for Palatina (http://palatina.gnostai.org/) I can say that it's
not a completely trivial task, and requires some code to
do HTML-scraping. But in future (based upon Palatina) I hope
to make it easier for users to add their own sources, since Palatina
implements sources using a plugin mechanism.

If you'd like to suggest how "adding a new source"
should work ideally, please follow up using this report.

I'd support that, but would suggest an easier way to add new
ISBN libraries. Adding those is too complicated. A simple URL
should be the way to go.
