First, thank you for this software.

When I exit author field with mouse, changes are lost. It is not the same case when exiting with tab or enter key.

This is really a feature of the GNOME user-interface style. If
you don't hit enter, the assumption is that you've changed your
mind about editing the field. I'll see if it's possible to capture
the modification on the mouse-out event.
