Please consider adding integration with zbar.  zbar uses a webcam to scan barcodes very easily- and almost everyone
has a webcam.  Integration would speed-up adding books to library and loaning-out the books.

This is a good idea, and has been discussed before. It probably
won't be added soon though, since I'll be focusing on bug-fixes
and updating the providers.

Also, I should not, many webcams don't have sharp focus (or ability
to adjust the focus) and so zbar often can't detect barcodes.
