I am greateful for your respecting the Japanese language and attempting to incorporate a word of it into the name of
your software. I am not sure if this has already been pointed out, but the name of the software "maruku" sounds
very strange to native Japanese speakers, especially after reading the description that it is meant to derive from the
Japanese borrowing form of the English word "mark". The Japanese borrowed form of the English "mark"
as in "markup" would be "maaku", never "maruku". "maruku" is only valid as the
borrowed form of the previous German currency "mark". So, I am not sure about your intension, but the name
"maruku" sounds somewhat like Engrish to the ear of native Japanese, and is comical. If that is not your intention,
and if possible, you may want to reconsider the name. Even if changeing the name is difficult by now, I suggest you
change at least the description regarging the origina of the name because it's wrong. It is always a good idea to have
a native speaker check the form whenever you handle a language that you are not familiar with.
