Difference between0.3.6 to 0.4.4 are causing CTR+C to never be trapped

Detailed description 
When using older releases of CUrb I was able to send a SIGINT and stop the request and do what I needed to in my script.
Now it completely ignored. Is this a bug? or a new feature that is undocumented? is there a way around it?
