1) I can't reproduce the first problem, it might be an issue
with Ruby-GNOME2 (or the way Alexandria interacts with it).
You could try one of these two things:
a) Click the middle of the "title bar" of the dialog
(where it says "Adding a Book" or "Ajout d'un
livre") just before you click the "Add" button.
Do this each time. This sometimes solves odd little Ruby-GNOME2
bugs.
b) Instead of clicking "Add", first click and then
double-click the book you want to add from the list.
I believe you are using a recent Ubuntu which has version 0.17.0
of Ruby-GNOME2 (I am testing with 0.18.1) You can try upgrading,
but it may be RISKY

2) I have seen the second problem myself occasionally, or something
like it. It's hard to track down though. What is needed is the
shortest possible number of steps to reproduce the problem; then
I can begin to figure out what's happening.
3) I think you are referring again to getting multiple results
for an ISBN lookup. This was not foreseen when Alexandria was
designed, so the program simply selects the first result. However,
even with the same ISBN, the same edition of a book can have
a different cover due to being a different "printing"
of that edition. At the moment, there is no way for Alexandria
to handle this issue.
