Expose the whole barcode representation instead of only the partial

Detailed description
Thanks for this gbarcode interface, it's extremely useful!

I've written an extension for Ruby FPDF that allows printing Gbarcode barcodes using native PDF rectangles:

http://code.zhdk.ch/projects/leihs/browser/trunk/lib/fpdf/fpdf_gbarcode.rb

However, I can only retrieve the partial from Gbarcode, and that partial doesn't include the special characters such
as "*" at the start and end of Code 39 or the characters represented by 105/106 in Code 128-C barcodes. I
could work around Code 39 by re-encoding the partial, padded with * characters. This obviously doesn't work for Code
128-C, since Gbarcode won't allow you to encode anything but double-digit numbers, 00-99.

Would it be possible that the barcode's geometry could be exposed including the special characters that each barcode
needs? That way, I could make a much cleaner implementation of FPDF_Gbarcode and everyone would be very happy :)

Yep, tried using 128C barcode generator with both pieces of nice
code (gbarcode and fpdf extention of it) and have a dead-end
now.. The change that Ramon is requesting, would save our day
