Detailed description 
I tried install Ruby on windows Xp. with version 0.9.2 of FreeRide.

Somehow menu entries are ghosted, even though I have given focus to the buffer panel.

I guess this is a bug.

I think it happened multiple times for me. I no longer have access
to the machine, so I cannot investigate this further.

I am unable to reproduce the problem you are seeing. I'm also
running XP pro and freeRIDE 0.9.2. Does this happen all the time
or only on some occasions?
