Matthew,
Thank you for your interest and concern for Watir. I have reviewed all
the debug statements that you sent out and have read through the
WatirMaker/WatirRecorder code. (Their new repostory, using the new name
can be found at http://svn.openqa.org/fisheye. It's a shame they changed
the name. WatirMaker just had a naughty ring to it. And recorders are
naughty things.)
My reading is that these debug statements indicate events that
WatirMaker is not recording. I have no idea why the WatirMaker
developers are not recording these events. If it is because of a
limitation they are aware of in Watir, then they should report it.
WatirMaker does not "use" Watir, so without knowing the thinking of the
developers it is hard to draw conclusions about Watir. I do not recall
that they have reported any problems.
I just organized the known issues in Watir with frames:
http://jira.openqa.org/secure/views/bulkedit/IssueNavigator.jspa?mode=hide&requestId=10201
Please review this list. If you are aware of additional problems, please
let us know.
Bret
