I'm sorry to spam the list if this is written somewhere but I've gone through the manual and anything else I could find quite thoroughly....just two easy questions: -is there a maximum number of documents that I can import into Weft? I'm using it to create a searchable database and expect to get up to about 200 documents. None of them are especially large (pdfs usually ~20 pages or less). -is it possible to search memos? I get the impression that it isn't but just in case... Many thanks! Really enjoying the program.... Adela -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I haven't personally worked with that many documents, but I believe others have. > -is it possible to search memos? I get the impression that it isn't > but just in case... No, unfortunately not. None of them are especially large (pdfs usually ~20 pages > or less). i currently use weft with about 60 documents in .txt format. as printouts they are around 25-30 pages (font size 12, around 10-15k words each). it works pretty well. Searches and queries become slower the more documents you add though for the categories it does not make much of a difference. --bernhard From 0034058 at fudan.edu.cn Thu Nov 6 02:28:16 2008 From: 0034058 at fudan.edu.cn (0034058) Date: Thu, 06 Nov 2008 15:28:16 +0800 Subject: [Weft QDA users] quick weft QDA questions In-Reply-To: <4911D163.4080706@pressure.to> References: <4911D163.4080706@pressure.to> Message-ID: As I remember, the early version has an interface for ruby script to extend the functionality.
