Yeah, I can do that. I don't think what we have there now really makes sense though. This sentence is pretty redundant: Ruby 1.8.7 is available for Solaris 8 through Solaris 10 onSunfreeware and Ruby 1.8.7 is available at Blastwave. Does anyone know what that is really trying to say? How does this new link fit into that? Tell me what it should say, and I'll update the page. Message-ID: <8272BDB1-364A-47AA-B291-475C41D8CB31@arko.net> The documentation page at ruby-lang.org/en/documentation/ links to ruby-doc.org for the core and stdlib docs. I know that ruby-doc.org has been around for a million years, but it's very hard to navigate, and I hear complaints about it from new rubyists pretty frequently. I always send them to railsapi.com instead, where you can get a much nicer interface to the core and stdlib documentation on a sinlgle page: http://railsapi.com/doc/ruby-v1.8/. Would it be possible to, at very least, link to railsapi.com's ruby documentation from the links section? I personally think it would be a vast improvement to link to it instead of ruby-doc.org's separate core and stdlib docs, but I understand if that's too big of a change. After some research I found that if I go to: http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/documentation/quickstart/ (note the trailing slash) then everything works fine. As it's impossible to ensure that the trailing slash is included in everyone's inbound links, I would suggest that something be done (http server config?) to make sure that the two URLs function equivalently. It doesn't look like there is an easy way to do this with radiant at this point, so I think we will need to focus on fixing broken links as they are identified, for now. Yeah, we could probably do it there, but I don't have access to that layer of the site. ;) > But I'll keep your email so if I find the specific links I'll let you > know and you can try to contact the maintainer of each page to get > them to edit them - good luck with that. . .
