And it is not just humour: hear Neal Ford's recent podcast describing how he uses Java to introduce Ruby & Rails in the corporate environment bypassing IT hostility. However: I think it would be necessary to translate an *updated* version, as otherwise it would be confusing to read the article and try to run the example with Rails2.0; eg, the usual scaffold gets a different (RESTful) look-and-feel for Urls, routes, controller actions, etc. I could try to see if the skeleton of the example can be easily updated with Rails 2.0. My experience with Rails has been limited (mostly to study the internals in order to learn about Ruby metaprogramming, not to use it as a Web tool), but I would be guided by your example. If this worked, I'd love to do the translation into Italian (if Fabio and Davide were interested, great). This is to let you know that the work seems so far feasible (even for a non-Rails expert like me). I will complete regardless if you plan to use it, just to play with Rails a bit (so far, I only studied its internals, delaying for ever the moment to get my hands dirty..). Of course, if you decide to go ahead with the update, I would be glad to send to you my (modest) edits. And, as I said, I feel that a translaton would be very well received by Italians.
