[typo] Installation Problem - 500 Internal Server Error

are you pointing your browser to http://localhost:3000 ?

This is the webrick default port.  Also, have you configured the typo/ 
config/database.yml file.  This file cannot contain tabs, just use  
spaces.

Did you install the database schema to the postgres database?

Just my initial thoughts...
