[Tioga-users] x11forwarding & preview

Dear Tioga users,

I am trying to run tioga via ssh but am finding that I cannot X11 forward
non-x11 applications such as Preview or Safari (they pop up on the console
rather than being forwarded to my remote machine).  Has anyone else run into
this and have a solution?

I am having a surprisingly hard time finding a reasonably updated PDF viewer
for X11, but I do have xdvi running, so I am wondering if it is possible to
output dvi output as well as the pdf files for q quick view.
