Hi Roy,

Thanks for the pointer -- I've now downloaded the GRI tar file,  
extracted the relevant routines, translated from C++ to dull-boring  
old C, and look what we've got!

This plot is done with fill_and_stroke on the results from the new  
make_contour (it shows the regions where the values are <= 0.165).     
Great fun!

BTW: I'm leaving the old CONREC algorithm in as an option in case the  
new one runs into trouble for someone.
