We're not going to fix this. There isn't even an analog over in UNIX land as spaces in paths are invalid for shebang lines, so I can't even run gem, let alone rake.

Workaround: don't use spaces in your paths.

This is still a problem.
How to reproduce: install ruby into a dir with space, install 
spork. Fails (spork installs fine elsewhere).  Rubygems 
should be quoting the path.
