[Rubygems-developers] Alternate dependencies?

This has been a long-standing feature request, but nobody's been  
interested enough in actually implementing it.

PS: In my opinion, Rails bundling libraries doesn't help matters, they  
should depend on a specific version of tzinfo and be done with it.
