[Rubygems-developers] Build errors are not catched

Hello,

I tried installing ruby_odeum and mysql on my machine. Both do
c compiling and both fail to compile on my machine. But i still get
the final message

Successfully installed ruby_odeum-0.2.1
Installing RDoc documentation for ruby_odeum-0.2.1...

I would call this an error in rubygems.
