Summary: SyntaxError should not stop entire run

Initial Comment:
In a view spec...

specify "should display name" do
  response.should_have_tag :div, :contents => 'Joe'

This throws a SyntaxError because symbols are not supported. However, the syntax error causes a complete test run collapse, rather than being reported in the context of that one spec.
