Message-ID: <9f7a2758df7f9dd78979afd5fe1b323e@symetrie.com> Hi, Is the rcal effort still alive ? Or is there some plugin already there, that would explain this silence? Would anyone be interested in displaying parsed ical files in web pages ? Some of us are still thinking about it and working on it, at least. --Greg From rgkaufman at gmail.com Tue Jun 27 14:32:10 2006 From: rgkaufman at gmail.com (Rob Kaufman) Date: Tue, 27 Jun 2006 11:32:10 -0700 Subject: [Rcalendar-devs] alive ? I ended up trying pretty much all of the different paths on creating these bindings (native, dl, dl2, and SWIG). My initial thoughts were, well, wrong and SWIG appears to be the best comprimise between speed of development and speed of runtime. The only real reason that they arn't availible yet is a change in jobs/moving/planning a wedding that has been taking up about 100% of my 'free' time. So those bindings should be coming out in the not too distant future (read Augustish). Already you can manipulate an ics file from Ruby, but everything is very C like (and complicated C at that) so the effort to make it really usable continues (at a snails pace) Rob Kaufman Blog - www.lightning-tree.net/typo On 6/26/06, Gregory Seidman wrote: > On Sun, Jun 25, 2006 at 09:39:19PM +0200, Jean-Christophe Michel wrote: > } Is the rcal effort still alive ? > } Or is there some plugin already there, that would explain this silence? > } Would anyone be interested in displaying parsed ical files in web pages > } ? > > Some of us are still thinking about it and working on it, at least. > > --Greg > > _______________________________________________ > Rcalendar-devs mailing list > Rcalendar-devs at rubyforge.org > http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/rcalendar-devs >
