Thanks! If it weren't for connections to power users it wouldn't have  
happened.

Funny story:  at around noon today it hit front page of Reddit and  
that was enough to bring the site down.  I hadn't realized that I set  
it up on only a 256MB RAM slice at slicehost.

Rebuilt the slice to 2GB and it was fine.
