i like the ui you've attached.  are you taking responsibility for the html
mockup?  do you need help with it?

hi michael,

i see your point - it's probably a good idea to build up the interface
before looking at the underlying code.

as you both may have guessed - i'm a newbie to programming in general.  most
of my computer experience has been as a solaris system administrator.  i'm
trying to digest as much as i can but there's no substitute for real
experience.  if i ask a question it's not because i'm trying to be a pain.
rather, i'm trying to understand things better.
