Andrea will not be there before february, but it would be great if you guys could meet up. Unfortunately we don't speak dutch, so the ML is a bit off limits for us.. A couple of Rubyists (me, and 4 other people currently) have met before. We keep in touch through the mailing list below, and welcome new members. http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/nlrgg-general Our next meeting is 17 january (next week), if you'd like to attend, just let us know on the mailing list. Our meetings thus far have been of a very informal nature, usually we chat about the latest Ruby stuff over a couple of beers and pizza. The discussions are not restricted to Ruby alone, we also discuss JavaScript techniques, Functional [Reactive] Programming, Haskell and whatever else might come up after a couple of beers ;-) -- Erik chiaro scuro wrote: > Michel, Erik, Ian, > > I found your names on > http://wiki.rubygarden.org/Ruby/page/show/DutchGroup > > I belong to nimboo.net , a virtual team of italian > rubyists. English or Dutch? 1) I'd like to give a presentation, "An Intro to Ruby w/ examples from EuRuKo2006," which I'll be giving to my colleagues Jan 23. Main interest for you would be the recap of EuRuKo 2006. 2) What's the news on Q42? If it's affirmative, what's the address and how do I get there? We've got a beamer and computer in our conference room (it does run windows, unfortunately). So, Q42 is confirmed. We'll order some pizza's when we get hungry ;) For more information on how to reach Q42, see http://q42.nl/contact/ In case any of you guys get lost, just call Q42 (for #, see website), and ask for me (Chris Eidhof). Specifically ask for Chris Eidhof, there's another Chris working at Q42, and he gets lots of calls, and I normally don't ;) I'm not sure if I can come up with a presentation, but I recently read quite some good articles and used some new techniques (mostly Haskell, but that shouldn't be a problem). So there's lots of stuff to talk about! I think some of my colleages are wanting to attend the meeting too, I'll ask them again. They're not really Rubyists, but the ones that will attend are probably interested ;) At what time shall start? Does anyone have a problem with 18.00? LogiLogi.org, Cumulative, shared commenting, publication and idea sharing: A smart zone on the web... - ComLinToo, a computational linguistics toolset written in Perl - Lake (LogiLogi.org Make), a make-replacement using makefiles in pure C++ ::Being: - In the world, wavy hair, go figure (http://nl.logilogi.org/HomE/WyboWiersma)
