Perfect! Changed that and tests work here on my machine (MacOSX), 
hopefully Windows has something reasonable (maybe 1970 too?) as well. 
So now it should work on Windows too.

I made a new patch bundle (the initial patch, plus the Time.at(0) fix) 
and submitted it as Trac ticket 
(http://devlab.oree.ch/trac/nitrohq/ticket/33). Is that better than 
attaching it to mails to the ML, Brian?
