[kramdown-users] Inline Code Highlighting

When selecting a language for inline code, I can do

{: lang='ruby'}`puts "Hello world"`

{: lang='ruby'}
    puts "Hello world"

The second one gets syntax highlighted, but the first does not. I can't seem
to find any examples of an inline code highlight.
