Yes, general XML tags have always been allowed. This is useful, for
example, for applications like webgen which define custom XML tags like
`<webgen:block />`. Such tags wouldn't be parsed correctly otherwise.
Also, an XHTML block inside a kramdown document may use other, a priori
not-known tags, for example, when embedding SVG or MathML documents.
