ad newlines) No. If you want this behaviour, you should probably use
Textile, not Markdown. This is one of the main features of Markdown.
Most email programs and text editors do automatic line wrapping which
is good because the text will then look the same in *any* editor, even
ones that don't do line wrapping (given a reasonable line length). If
you write a paragraph as a single long line, you won't have that
benefit.

ad underscores) Have a look at the syntax documentation for emphasis,
this is already a feature of kramdown.

ad autolinking) No, I don't think that this is very useful. If you want
to create a link without an explicit link text, just put angle brackets
around the complete URL. This is a standard feature of Markdown and one
that can be followed easily.

However, if you want to have this features, it should be easy to extend
kramdown and tailor it to your needs.
