From a.thilani at gmail.com Mon Mar 31 09:03:44 2008 From: a.thilani at gmail.com (Thilani) Date: Mon, 31 Mar 2008 18:33:44 +0530 Subject: [Donortrust-developers] GSOC Idea Message-ID: *Multiple Gifts I would be willing to take up this project for my GSOC project this time. These are the specifications that I v thought of implementing. Here user able to give multiple gifts. So it is better to ask from the user how many gifts she/he thought of giving or we can display check boxes near gifts so that user can select . According to the user response the web interface can be generated. It is good idea to allow users to send a e card along with the gift.So we can display the currently available or most often used e-cards. By default there might be one e-card is selected to a gift. We can use Ajax functionality to allow user to drag the e-card that they want to send. Once user has selected the card we can allow user to type personal message for every recipient. For this I thought of implementing text editor .There user can format their text select suitable font ,font color etc.once user has finished typing the message ,the message will display on currently selected e-card.After that user can preview the e-card. like wise it is possible to add personnel message to every recipient To d display all available e-cards I ll use paging feature. For include several recipient can allow user to log into their gmail from the application and select the recipients. Another idea is create user accounts and allow them to maintain an adders book so that they might be able to select recipient from the adders book itself. this feature can be provided to users who are registered with the site. In this way user is able to send multiple gifts to multiple recipients at once. I ll appreciate your quick reply regarding these specification. Any comments are highly appriciate Thanks Thilani * -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
