[Cruisecontrolrb-developers] More git hang problems

I'm reopening this ticket, I recently saw two servers with builds hung
on git fetch origin.  I thought we had fixed this by wrapping in a
timeout, but apparently not.

This is hard to reproduce, I haven't figure out how to make it happen
in a controlled setting.  Any advice is welcome...
