[Chicago Area Ruby Group] Selenium Hackfest

What: Ruby / Selenium Hackfest

Event Description: Alright folks.  As promised, we are planning a hackfest 
for Selenium on Tuesday night, December 13.  Bring a laptop, some snacks 
to share and a festive mood.  All skill levels are welcome (this is a 
great opportunity to learn).

What is Selenium?  Selenium is a test tool for web applications.  Selenium 
is written in JavaScript and tests directly against the DOM in your 
browser.  See http://selenium.thoughtworks.com for more info.  Jason 
Huggins, the creator, will be there to give us a short demo and look see 
before we get started. 

Why the Ruby group?  Selenium has language drivers that help drive the 
tests.  We need help on the Ruby driver.  We also need help in other areas 
if you want to develop in JavaScript, Java, Perl, Python, or any other 
language. 

We will have it at the ThoughtWorks offices.  I'm not sure if food is 
going to be provided or not (I'll know by the day before).  We will have 
wireless and wired options for internet. 

This will be fun! 

The ThoughtWorks offices are located at 651 West Washington, in downtown 
(http://rubyurl.com/0vj).

Directions:
Under normal circumstances you would simply take the Washington exit off 
of 94/90, but they have demolished the bridge. If you get off at Madison 
and head east back over the interstate you will see a parking lot there at 
the first light.

The building entrance on Desplains will be open until 7. The elevators 
will be on until 7 as well so that people can get to 6. After that, please 
feel free to call Joe at 614/906-1394 and I'll have someone get you.
