@helpers no longer required?

After updating to the latest version of Markaby, I've
noticed that @helpers doesn't seem to be necessary
when accessing params, flash, etc. and named routes
(*_url) in Rails. Is and will @helpers no longer be
necessary? (And if so, let me be the first to say
YAY!)
