[Jan De Poorter]

Hello,

My name is Jan De Poorter, I'm 21, and I work as a coder and sysadmin at
Openminds, a hoster/solutions provider in Ghent. I've had web-coding
experience with asp, PHP, perl and now RoR. I've been programming in RoR
for about a year now, and I'm not regretting it!

At work I am involved with rails in two ways, since I do a lot of rails
coding (We try to do all projects in Rails) and I am looking in to Rails
Hosting solutions (We're one of the first rails hoster in Belgium, and
are trying to keep doing cutting-edge hosting). My experience with Rails
range from my first project in rails, 7bills.eu (which was a
hobby-fun-project), to a whole control-panel (yet to be released).

I actively blog on http://blog.defv.be, with now and then a RoR post. We
(Openminds) are also attending Railsconf Europe, and looking forward to
see a few of you there?

And if not there, maybe on the first BRUG meeting? :-)
