I think you have correctly grasped what transactions are supposed to do:
Provide you with isolation against double execution of a block. Once the
Transaction is closed, it all the pages served inside are invalidated
and user is redirected to first page AFTER the transaction.
Your post intrigued me since I once fixed that kind of problem with
transactions: I retested and found transactions working for me with my
copy of Borges.
What version do you use and where did you get it ?
Note that there is also a cache issue: You can go back and see the pages
that have expired, since your browser allows you to do that locally. But
when *refreshing* (or simply doing something on the expired page) you
get a 'Page expired'.
