Actually you can go a long way with a lot of browsers. But completely
avoid caching you cannot (in general). In practice a lot of apps do
stuff like that.
I guess this is why most web apps have a checkout step.
If you are not afraid of DHTML hell, you can easily make a page in
Borges that renders only the cart and then query it when the page gets
loaded. But I think this is just a very complicated way of doing the
cache disable hack.
