Bring your own laptop and join the Foraker Labs crew on the second Thursday each month for free beer, food, and hacking. http://rubyonbeer.com Our next meeting is THURSDAY, February 9th, starting at 5:00PM at our office: Foraker Labs 4775 Walnut Street, Suite 200 Boulder, Colorado There will be food. And beer. And of course we'll be hacking on stuff. Feel free to bring your own project or just come and pair up on a code kata or two. And while we obviously love all things Ruby and Rails, we're really more interested in fellowship and learning new things. So don't be afraid to drop in if you're working in a different technology! Need more information? Got questions? Drop us a line at rubyonbeer at foraker.com or follow us on Twitter: @forakerlabs. Planning on coming? Of course you are! Let us know by signing up on Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/Boulder-Ruby-on-Beer I look forward to seeing you there! One thing we thought we'd try is Lighting Talks. Four or so, five minute talks with some theme to them. For March, I'm looking for people to show us how cool their setups are. Somethings that might be of interest: Apps that get it done. Shell Magic. VIM Macros. What's in your menu bar? Non Mac (and/or non-VIM) development. Best. Command. Prompt. Ever. Please shoot me a message if you're game. We'll be meeting on February 21st at 7pm at Pivotal Labs (directions below). Ryan Cook is leading off the meeting with a talk on using DSLs as a teaching tool. Mike Gehard will follow him with a preview of his MWRC talk, Better Ruby, where he'll discuss SRP and SOLID. Pivotal Labs will be generously sponsoring food for the meeting which will be available at 6:45. As February is stout month at the Mountain Sun, I believe some of us will make the trek over there after the meeting, assuming it isn't too busy.
