I haven't schedule any talks yet. Who would like to present at a meeting in the next few months? Don't be shy, we don't bite. I'd like to see some of you that haven't presented at our group yet step forward. It's a good time. Please email me offlist if you're interested. Thanks. I will have our usual meeting reminder a few days before the meeting with more details. As always you can check out our website for the latest meeting announcement. Cheers, Marty Haught http://boulderruby.org From mghaught at gmail.com Fri Jan 16 13:02:35 2009 From: mghaught at gmail.com (Marty Haught) Date: Fri, 16 Jan 2009 11:02:35 -0700 Subject: [Boulder Ruby Group] MountainWest RubyConf Message-ID: <57f29e620901161002h339c8f11y75540b3ac44be630@mail.gmail.com> Hi Everyone, The 3rd annual MountainWest Ruby conference is now open for registration. The speakers have also been announced on the site though some are still getting their talk descriptions in. The line-up looks great though. http://mtnwestrubyconf.org/2009/ March 13-14 in Salt Lake City. Registration is $100. This does not include lunch or dinner. Some of us are considering staying a bit longer to do some skiing. If you're interested in carpooling or sharing a room, email me offlist. I'm going and I'm happy to coordinate that with those of you attending. Though I may be a bit biased, the past two MountainWest conferences have been really awesome and this one looks to be the same. I know at least a couple of local guys are presenting too. If you like software conferences this one is hard to beat for the quality and price. My client is a startup, and the usual truths about startups work in this case. Decent (but not great) salary, long working hours, bare-bones work environment...and the opportunity to come in on the ground floor of a company that is well-funded, has sky-high aspirations, and is rocking along NOW. The best fit will be a startup-minded RoR developer who wants to come in, OWN the code, and create some high-energy software development miracles. Interested? Send me your resume NOW.
