what abuot python?? I can help you in this case. maybe it is possible to
implement different back-ends.
PD: part of the Google code is python. Zope/plone are implemented in
python...
PD2: don't say things like " Ruby is definitely not mature enough for
building programs that must be efficient with large collection of data"
in an @rubyforge list!! ;)
