Hello,
Fairly good news about the cuecat support. Nobu's comment on the
mailing list set me in the right direction and I was able to find
someone who patched the driver to support polling. Unfortunately, as
mentioned previously, the driver only supports 2.2 and 2.4 at the
moment, but once the 2.6 driver is done, it should work without any
changes.
I'm going to email the author of the cuecat driver and the author of the
patch to see if we can get them combined so the alexandria users don't
have to go all over the place to get their driver ready. Once I get
that worked out, I'll commit the code.
As far as the Scanner support icon, maybe a good icon would be a mini
barcode that is greyed out when it is inactive? Just an idea. I'll
attempt it when I get a chance, but if anyone else wants to give it a
go, be my guest.
