Hi Jos'e,
Welcome aboard! Translation of alexandria makes use of GNU gettext
(http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/ ), which basicaly means that you
edit a so called .po file. In a .po file you find the translatable
strings you just add your translation below each string. You could take
the Japanese ja.po file as an example. You can the files here:
http://wiki.alexandria-projects.org/browse/trunk/alexandria/po
So, to start you Chinese translation simply make a copy of one of
the .po files and start editing it :-).
If you want to test your translation it's probably best to download all
alexandria files from the Subversion repository. See
http://www.gnostai.org/journal/2007/12/28/getting-started-with-alexandria-development/#more-3 which also has some notes on testing translations.
You can send the finished translation to Cathal Mc Ginley
<cathal.alexandria at gnostai.org> who will incorporate it into the SVN
repository.
Some days before the release of a new Alexandria version Cathal will
send an e-mail to this list to remind everyone to send in the latest
translations.
Good luck!
Lennart Karssen.
