Martin and Heikki,
Aure and I got pulled off on other projects and are just
getting back to Ruby on Rails and more specifically, to
Adminpages. Looked at this mailing list and checked for updates in the
CVS repository and it doesn't seem that there has been much activity
here. Are you still developing adminpages? or have you found something
you like better and are using that?
There is a lot of adminpages that looks like a good base for
some project we are going to be working on this summer. So before we
started adding or rearranging adminpages to suit our needs, we wanted
to check to see if we should be trying to coordinate with you or just
taking this code as a starting point for our own CMS.
The next things we need for our sites are integration with a
permission system. It seems like Active_RBAC is winning mindshare on
that front, so we will probably try to set up a fairly simple
permission system (with a superuser (who can administer users and
permissions, edit templates and edit all content) and a content editor
(who can only add and edit content within pages)).
We would also like to make some changes to the admin section:
make the current superuser version a little more visually intuitive
and create a separate version for our content editors that only
contains a subset of the current admin functionality.
What do you think?
