Notes:
This is *almost* a verbatim copy of Kazuhiro HIWADA's initial testing
release of Ruby-VPI. It is missing his original Makefile, which I cannot
restore because (1) I no longer have the original tarball and (2) the
URL to the original tarball (see link below) is no longer working.
