Notes:
Fixed a small bug found by Ryan Mulligan pertaining to the inability to quit muby while connecting, which turns out to be a problem if the connection takes too long to complete.

made the connection connect in a non blocking manner. made this happen in a thread that rescues and displays exceptions. added a connect timeout conf var. added it to the help system.

modified default configuration to match modern debian default installation. one nice feature would be autodetecting platform and selecting key config accordingly...
