It downloads shows from subscribed podcasts, and generates playlists that can be fed into an MP3 player application. podcatcher supports several download strategies (newest shows only, allow back-catalogs ..) several playlist types (M3U, TOX, PLS ...), and bittorent-enabled podcasts.
