I think that your library might just have a require statement hidden somewhere in it, which is done only if you execute some method in there. That would be the only logical reason why making a dummy call fixed your problem.

Otherwise "ocra executes your script for the sole purpose of determining all of the 'require' statements. Once this is done, your script can be halted." is true.
