Good to hear that it is working now.
For others who go through this forum. IBM_DB gem supports connections to IBM DB2 UDB on iseries V5R3 and V5R4. In the case here the connection was being made to version v5R2. It is good to hear that it works with this version also. However, FYI, while releasing the gem it is not tested against the V5R2 version of DB2 on iseries.
As said support for specifying the authentication type explicitly in the adapter will be available in the next release.
