Hi Steven,

No, you would not require DB2 on your client machine to connect to DB2 on a remote machine. All that you would need is just the DB2 client, which can be downloaded from https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?lang=en_US&source=swg-idsc11 With just this you should be able to get going and connect to DB2 to perform your task.
