As a follow up for the previous message, I forgot to tell you why am I asking you to download the other client. The previous client that you downloaded was a Thin CLI client, which will not contain the include files in it. Hence you were not able to build the gem, which was trying to find the include files namely sqlcli1.h. This client which is available, in the link specified, will contain the include files once you install it and with this you will be able to build the gem.
