Sorry for the delay (im still on my 3 week of vacation in the US).
The AEditor 1.x branch doesn't have a curses frontend yet. However it is planned.
The 1.x has syntax coloring.
The AEditor 0.x branch only works with curses.
The 0.x doesn't have syntax coloring.
Please ask if you still have problems.
